The Darling Downs region of Queensland is famous in Australia for its rich, fertile plains that produce the finest quality wheat, barley and corn. These non-GMO grains are mixed into special rations and fed to the cattle at our renowned Aronui feedlot.
All the Wagyu cattle arrive at the feedlot weighing 350 kg (770 lbs) and are identified with radio frequency tags which allows efficient trace back to the animals originating ranch and genetic make-up. They are naturally free from hormone growth promotants and spend 400 days at Aronui, eating almost 5000 kg (11000 lbs) of feed before leaving at a weight of 750 kg (1650 lbs).
Aronui feedlot is the 7th largest feedlot in Australia with the capacity to grain feed more than 18,000 head. It currently carries 7000 Wagyu cattle.
